Shaw Fabric Products began as Shaw Enterprises in 1995. Dale Shaw, his wife Izena, and son, Roy, had been selling weed barrier for Dewitt Company out of the back room of the family house. Dale Shaw had been

the Assistant State Forester for Colorado for over 30 years, and had become friends with tree planters all across the country. In the fall of 1996, they decided that they could offer better customer service if they became their own distributors. They contacted Synthetic Industries to supply Lumite® weed barrier, and off they went.

Shaw Fabric Products is a family business, and we have graduated from a home office into a 12,600-square-foot warehouse in Wellington, Colorado. Dale and Izena have retired, but Roy is hard at work with Darci Larrarte (his daughter), Gary Spahr (his brother-in-law), and Stacey Spahr (his niece). At times, others in the family have worked for Shaw Fabric Products, including Dan Spahr (Roy's other brother-in-law), Dan Shaw (Roy's son), Tiffani Casalenuovo (Roy's niece), and Zachary and Jacob Spahr (Roy's nephews). Roy's wife, Diane, and Dan Spahr's wife, Kim, have also worked for the family business, and Roy's sisters, Judy and Dena, have also been involved. (Did you get all that? I had to read it again too!)
